The elderly's demand for the quality of a better life continues to increase, and the importance of age-appropriate design is becoming increasingly prominent. On October 14, 2023, the first International Conference on Aging Civilization opened in Yaohu Town, Yixing, Jiangsu Province, with the theme of "Aging and aging civilization". More than 300 experts and scholars from home and abroad gathered at two main forums and six parallel forums for two days to discuss ideas, theories, strategies and public policies to actively respond to population aging.
