On the afternoon of November 21, 2023, the sixth symposium of the Aging Civilization Think Tank was held in Nanjing, focusing on the theme of "Aging design makes cities more pleasant and livable". Mr. Xiao Lujiang, chairman of CTA Urban Design, shared the theme. Mr. Xiao Lujiang comprehensively analyzed the aging solutions that can allow the elderly to enjoy high-quality space from three aspects: universal design, aging design strategy and aging design trend. "Age-appropriate design should return to people-oriented, but also embrace future trends, focusing on the sustainability of the development model, the integration of ecological health concepts, and the iteration of facilities and operations." Returning to the core essence of age-appropriate design for people and following universal design can allow the elderly and more other groups to enjoy the space convenience and pleasure brought by good design.
